Baby Genius

The other day (ok more like a few weeks ago. I'm a little late in posting...) Rosie was holding her baby doll and I thought she said "baba".  I decided to test to see if she actually knew what she was holding was a baby. So I mixed the baby doll with all of her other toys and ask her "where's your baby?" After scanning the toys scattered on the floor she crawled to her doll, grabbed it and gave it a very excited hug. So obviously she's a genius and all those books that say babies who aren't good nappers wont be as smart can eat it. And on a napping note...as a 9 month present to me Rosie has decided to only take 30 minute morning naps...help!

We ♥ Visitors

Last weekend my sister and her "friend" came for a visit. We had a blast going to the beach, the Getty Villa, the Grove shopping center, LA temple visitors' center and trying a bunch of new restaurants. Here are some pictures from their visit.

Happy Leap Day everyone! Hope you all remember today that real life is for March!

On another note...Rosie is 8 months old and has been growing up so fast. Here are some of her new developments:

• Two bottom teeth
• Super speed crawling
• Pulls herself up on everything
• Says dada all the time - the other day around 5:00 she crawled to the door and sat there looking at it waiting for Matt to come home saying "dada dada"
• Said mama once - I haven't been able to get her to say it again
• Has started picking up waving
• Sleeps through the night (most nights)
• Wont sleep in past 5:30  
• And is pretty much the cutest best baby ever!

Favorite Cousin

Sorry everyone else but I'm pretty sure Jonas is Rosie's favorite.  He can get her laughing more than anyone else. It's probably because his favorite thing in the whole universe is babies. Here's the proof.

Florida

Rosie and I just got back from visiting my brother's family in Florida. We loved the warm weather, beautiful beaches, Romney rally, and spending time with Rosie's cousins and her future best friend (my college roommate - who is also my sister-in-law's sister - 's baby).

BYU's #1 fan

 A few weeks ago we went to the BYU vs Pepperdine basketball. Rosie was glued to the game the whole time. 

She also loved the Pepperdine mascot.

We were going to take a picture of her with him but I'm pretty sure she would have been scarred for life.
